Ingredient Science:

Many of us have finer, shorter strands of hair around our hairline – where the scalp transitions to face and body skin. Some of this hair is vellus hair, what you might know or identify as ‘peach fuzz’. In Latin, vellus means fleece or wool, and that can describe the distinctly different texture of this hair.

Vellus is completely normal – we’re born with it, and over time as we mature through childhood and puberty, it is mostly replaced by terminal hair (the hair ontop of your head). How much or how little vellus you have as an adult is pretty much down to genetics.
